Parole Legislation

While GOAL awaits final language to comment on, we have offered some potential additional language to the Committee ourselves. This includes a few bills already filed on behalf of GOAL. H.1566, “An Act Relative to Constitutional Rights” and S.661, “An Act Relative to the Common Defense.”, if included, would provide some moderate protection from overaggressive prosecutors.

This person is Democratic chair of the senate ways and means committee…does the Governor have any leadership or moral responsibility to stand forthrightly and challenge substantively this attack on democracy? What about the other state leaders of the Democratc Party in this state? Surely this person interacts with the Governor and other state party leaders on a range of issues, budgetary and otherwise. Do they have a similar leadership or, again, moral responsibility to challenge this person and what seems to be racist garbage from the past? (note his reference to youth who fish and hunt, compared to crack cocaine users….).
